Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
The BM Fix ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written with Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA in mind, but you should have it reviewed for your specific situation.
Who is responsible
The person responsible for managing personal information on this Site can be reached at hello@thebmfix.com. (Owner: add your name/business and contact details here, as required under Law 25.)
What we collect
- Information you choose to give us, for example, an email address if you opt into tips. The interactive tools store your answers only in your own browser (localStorage); we do not receive them.
- Analytics data, if you consent, Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) to help us improve the Site.
- Advertising / measurement data, if you consent, tools such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google AdSense may set cookies to measure and personalize advertising.
- Server logs, our hosting provider may record standard technical data (such as IP address) for security and reliability.
Consent comes first
By default, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. They load only after you accept them in our consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer. See the Cookie Policy for details.
Why we use your information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site
- To understand which content is helpful (with consent)
- To measure and, in future, show advertising (with consent)
- To send tips if you explicitly opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the Site work (for example, our host, analytics, email, and advertising partners), and only as needed. These providers may process data outside Quebec/Canada; where that happens we rely on the providers' safeguards.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent. Under Law 25 you may also have rights to data portability and to be informed about automated processing. To exercise any right, email us at hello@thebmfix.com.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
